8:00 am – The morning after; sitting in a cafeteria; the barkeeper chatting with a customer: “Holy shit! Last night the temperature dropped down to -3°C. Didn’t you notice that?”
– “Hey Pagha, did you notice?”
– “Nearly…”
– “Yeah, nearly…”

After a night of struggle to “keep it real”, this would have been the big day of maze: almost 100km on mountain trails with more than 3500m of elevation gain: “Are we shitting out of the bowl, as usual?” – “Yes” / Dopo una notte di battaglia per “attenersi alla realtà”, questo sarebbe dovuto essere il big day of maze: quasi 100km su sentieri di montagna con più di 3500m di dislivello positivo: “Stiamo cagando fuori dal vaso, come al solito?” – “Sì”

5pm, Umbrail pass. We are not even half way and we are more than half tired. – “Pagha, you’ve never climbed the Stelvio pass, right?”… / 17:00, passo Umbrail. Non siamo nemmeno a metà strada ma siamo ben più che stanchi. – “Tu Pagha non sei mai salito allo Stelvio, vero?”

So, here we are: after sticking Cani Sciolti and Ciclicorsa on the Stelvio pass, we took shelter on the road inspector’s house near the Umbrail pass. The next day we’ll have to fly over the 3000m of the Piz Umbrail / Eccoci: dopo aver appiccicato Cani Sciolti e Ciclicorsa sullo Stelvio, abbiamo trovato riparo alla IV° cantoniera, vicino al passo Umbrail. Domani voleremo oltre i 3000m del Piz Umbrail.
