There are one French, one Finnish, two Laghèe and one Captain that decide to ride a non existent route: The Wine Road. The Captain alerted them: “It’s bullshit!” but if you say: “Bicycle!” the French goes hog wild; if you say: “Wine!” the two Laghèe go hog wild and the Finnish… he always goes hog wild… So as I said The Wine Road does not exist practically; or better it exists only down there on the internet: http://www.stradavinivaltellina.com/ but if you try to ride it you end up bad, maybe you’ll need a bikewithsprings but you’d also need some skills and when you’re on the paved road it’s hard to move on. The point is that we go and ride it anyway because it’s March, the sun is beautiful and the temperature is warm. The route runs on the Valley side facing south, where the vine grows and the wine is made, from Morbegno to Tirano. Fisto wants to try the gopro before going to Ireland and this is one more excuse for doing the dumbass with Margaux, ’cause it’s the first time he meets her. At the end of the day he will have pulled out all of his bollocks repertoire, included the obligation for her to drink bad grappa. Settebellezze starts excited but this time too we will succeed to brake his balls. You notice that because he begins to become silent and he stops waiting for you with his arms folded and the carbon fiber glasses on his nose. Anyway he doesn’t like rummaging and losing time, he’s got an orange carbon bike made for speed with windintheface not for being shouldered on goats trails. “If we really need to take this more detour…” Margaux in her behalf she never complains but she has many flats and this puts her in the team de jure. Also because when we decided to take the picture with the tractor she couldn’t wait for it and she immediately jumped into the cockpit. And that says it all… LuLu ja Ystävät gave up right after lunch because for him we’re too fast, too steep and probably too assholes. What else can I say: if you like rummaging, all-by-walk, hike-a-bike, getting lost this route is for you. Otherwise go on being a roadie.

      Poi puoi sempre rimediare.
