The Holywater Death Race, the gravel race in Acquasanta Terme, fell through. The Cani won’t go. We’ll regret it!
This time again I must stay here in the valley with my pals playing the braggart narrow-minded country-dweller (do you know those guys who spend all the day outside the town bar with their rolled up t-shirt sleeves and their side-skirted cars?)
Ok, so what’s the alternative bravado planned for this weekend? To take our track bikes and climb the Splügen Pass! And them once on top we can not turn back because, as somebody says, that would be like riding on the rollers. Could be… But if that somebody who says that is the Captain you know you can not escape. After the Splügen Pass we’ll descend to Splügen and then up again to the San Bernardino Pass. … and then?!?!!? And then we’ll see! It’s not possible to evaluate everything, it brings bad luck.
Good! This time again we’ll go and play some anti-cycling that, after all, is what we make better…

Pure stavolta mi toccherà starmene qui in valle coi miei compari a fare il provincialotto spaccone (avete presente quei ragazzi che passano le giornate fuori dal bar del paese con le maniche della maglietta arrotolate e la macchina con le minigonne?).
Ok, qual è quindi la spacconeria in programma per questo fine settimana? Prendere le nostre bici da pista e salire in cima al Passo dello Spluga. Poi ancora una volta in cima mica tornare indietro, che come dice qualcuno è come girare sui rulli. Sarà! Ma quel qualcuno che lo dice è il Capitano quindi ci tocca. Si andrà avanti e si scenderà fino a Splügen per poi girare a sinistra e salire al passo del San Bernardino …e poi? E poi si vedrà! Non si può mica calcolare ogni cosa ché poi porta sfiga, si sa.
Bene! Andremo pure stavolta a fare dell’anti-ciclismo, che in fondo, è la cosa che ci riesce meglio…
